What we collect
When you or your group use Kikundi, we store:
- Your name, phone number, and (optional) email address
- Which group(s) you belong to, your role, and your membership status
- Financial records your group enters — contributions, expenses, and loans — including any proof/receipt files uploaded
- Meeting and attendance records
- Anything you choose to submit yourself, such as a testimonial
Why we collect it
Solely to run your group's dashboard — tracking members, meetings, attendance, contributions, and loans — and to notify you about activity in your group (in-app and by email today; SMS is planned but not yet active).
Who can see it
Your group's data is isolated from every other group. Only members of your own group can see it, and what they can see depends on their role's permissions — a regular member doesn't see the same things a treasurer or group admin does. Kikundi's own platform administrators have oversight access for support and compliance purposes only.
